Raleigh Junk Removal, Cleanouts and Demolition

Getting rid of bulky junk in Raleigh

The City of Raleigh will collect bulky items for homes on curbside garbage service, but you have to call Solid Waste Services first and the charge goes on your utility bill. Furniture and mattresses go out as a Bulky Load, while appliances, exercise equipment and extra yard waste count as a Special Load. Each load is capped at about four cubic yards, roughly two couches, and everything has to sit at the curb on the main street. Setting items out before you schedule can lead to a fine.

The city also skips a long list of things: construction and remodeling debris, carpet, tires, glass, mirrors, treated lumber and anything hazardous. Rules change, so check the City of Raleigh bulky and special collection page for the current details.

When Junk Banana is the easier option

• You do not want to drag a sectional or a fridge out to the curb. Our crew carries it out from any room, upstairs or down.
• You have more than one load, like a whole garage, an estate or a move-out in Five Points or North Hills.
• The city will not take it, like renovation debris, carpet or an old shed. See our construction debris removal and light demolition services.
• You need it gone today or tomorrow, not on the next open city date.
