Junk Removal in Durham, NC

Getting rid of bulky junk in Durham

The City of Durham collects bulky items by request only. Residents can ask for a free pickup of up to three bulky items in a week, and bigger requests come with a charge. Everything has to be at the curb and clear of cars, mailboxes and fences, alleys are not collected, and townhome communities have their own set-out rules through property management. Check the City of Durham bulky items page for the current rules before you set anything out.

When Junk Banana is the easier option

• You have more than a few pieces, like a full garage in Hope Valley or a rental in Old West Durham that needs emptying between tenants.
• The items are still inside. We carry them down the stairs and out of the house, so nothing has to sit at the curb.
• It is renovation debris or a tear-down job. See our construction debris removal and light demolition services.
• A landlord or property manager needs a unit cleared fast. See rental and property management cleanouts.
